The Orchid is a luxury 7 plot development of 3 bedroom mews properties in the much sort after town of Lymm in in Cheshire.

Utility Site Services were engaged by a first time developer to provide an Electricity Temporary Building Supply and then Gas, Electricity and Water Services to the dwellings. The development benefited by being above the minimum threshold where we were able to apply an asset value discount to offset the upfront costs of the services and we passed those savings onto the developer.

The development was at the end of a cul-de-sac, with the properties set back from the access drive so in order to provide these services, we extended the respective mains onto site and then took the individual services off those mains to termination points on the front and sides of each dwelling were appropriate.  To provide the developer with and end-to-end service, we also arranged the meters to be installed on each of these new supplies.

The main challenge onsite was when the contractor managed to hit the onsite gas mains in error post energisation and adoption, but Utility Site Services were able to remobilise and resolve the issue with minimum disruption to the completion of site. Accidents happen!
